Unlike most modern balsamic to which cane sugar is added, our Mousto Balsamic is enhanced with Petimezi - a natural, ancient grape molasses, which gives our vinegar a full fruity sweetness. It's then aged in oak barrels for six years to further enrich its flavor.
Every step of making this vinegar takes place on a family estate in Crete, Greece; from growing and picking the grapes, to making the Mousto, to bottling the final product. This ensures total control over the process and a high quality product.
Our Mousto has been certified organic. We do not use pesticides or chemicals. 100% natural, this product is free from sulphites, pectins, preservatives, additives and dyes, thus, each batch is slightly different and variations in consistency may occur.
