What is a Red Banana?
Red Bananas are a variety of banana with reddish-purple skin. They are smaller and more plump than the common yellow Cavendish banana. When ripe, raw red bananas have a flesh that is cream-to-light pink in color. They are softer and sweeter than the yellow varieties with a slight raspberry-banana flavor. The redder the fruit, the higher the carotene and vitamin C levels.

Our red bananas are allowed to tree ripen under completely organic growing conditions and are then carefully hand-picked at the peak of freshness. In order to maintain the maximum amount of nutrients, our Banana Powder is air-dried, and never heat-dried. The finished product contains no additives or preservatives.

Shelf-Life/Storage Instructions: Approximately 18 months, if properly sealed in an air-tight container (such as the package it comes in) and if stored in a cool, dry place.
